I just listened to Pastor Ligon Duncan's sermon delivered at the 2012 "Together for the Gospel" conference in Lousiville. Whaat a wonderful exposition of God's purpose in our suffering from the life of Elijah. I would highly recommend you listen to it. It is an hour long. You will not have wasted your time. Three years later and I am blessed by you and God through Ligon Duncan. The question of your suffering and death and Jared's suffering have found a resting place. God cares about His servants.
